I was just wondering if anyone else had a problem with diabetes or colesterol, I have have been told I have a pre-diabetes condition whatever that is. Also been told it could be due to RA and meds I take. Would love to here other opionions on this.

I realised a while ago that you just have to make the best of out of what life deals you, not always easy, but my dad always used to say there is always someone worse off than you. I am constantly learning that RA brings quite a few problems with it and a lot of them unexpected.

RA also brings you lots of new and very supportive friends Wub

My son, Ian, completed the BUPA Great North Run on 15th September running for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS). You can read his story at http://www.justgiving.com/ianlukewilson

I have a friend with RA who was told that the Methatrexate can cause the diabetes and she is now. I had not heard of it before but I have to take a water sample for checking at each Rheumy appointment so maybe there is something to it.
